ICMAB Cumilla Study Centre organized a Career Counseling Seminar at the Comilla University

 

ICMAB Cumilla Study Centre organized a Seminar on “Professional Management Accounting Education in Bangladesh – Implications for the Graduates” at the Conference Hall, Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), Comilla University (CU) on October 16, 2023. Professor Dr. A F M Abdul Moyeen, Vice Chancellor of Comilla University, ornamented the session as the chief guest, and Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, President of ICMAB, was present as the guest of honor of the seminar. Among other distinguished guests, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Amzad Hossain Sarker, Dean, FBS of CU, participated in the program as the special guest, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Belal Uddin ACMA, Chairperson, Dept. of AIS of CU, was present as session chair. Professor Abul Kashem, Coordinator of ICMAB Cumilla Study Centre, and regional members of ICMAB also attended the program. Professor Dr. Mohammad Zakaria Masud FCMA, Director, Academic Affairs Division of ICMAB, presented a keynote in the seminar explaining the significance of CMA qualification in the changing business environment.

Professor Dr. A F M Abdul Moyeen, Vice Chancellor of CU, appreciated ICMAB’s initiative and opined that CMA qualification could deliver more productive and employable candidates for the job market. He requested the students to join the CMA program, which will help CU to be the country’s top university. He assured that CU will always support ICMAB in achieving the Institute’s objectives of producing highly qualified professional CMAs. In his speech, Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, President of ICMAB, expressed that CMA degree is essential for sustainable socio-economic development. He emphasized that CMAs will be the frontline leaders in the age of 4IR as they can make crucial decisions at the right time. He requested the students to differentiate themselves by joining the prestigious CMA program that offers flexibility and accelerated career prospects.

Faculty members of FBS, along with approximately two hundred students of the AIS department, attended the seminar. The entire session was so enlightening that it created an electrifying atmosphere in the hall. Professor Dr. Mohammed Belal Uddin ACMA, Chairperson, Department of AIS of CU, concluded the session by thanking the distinguished guests from ICMAB, his colleagues, and beloved students for making the program successful.
