Yes, ICMAB is the sole authority that offers and confers the Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) certification
What is the duration of the CMA course?
It usually takes 2.5 years. This course has been designed with 3 levels (Split in 5 part), a total of 2000 Marks.
What is the admission fee for CMA Course?
The admission fee is Tk. 28,500
What is the fee for the CMA course?
Total costs to complete the CMA degree are assumed to be around Tk. 100,000 (Including Admission fee)
What are the different types of CMA Admission system?
Two types. One is Coaching (On-Premise) and another is Correspondence (Online)
What is the difference between a coaching and correspondence system?
Coaching system requires a student to attend at least 75% of the class physically, whereas Correspondence system requires one to submit assignments but no physical class is mandatory.

Is it possible to complete the CMA course besides a full-time job?
Yes, the correspondence system allows a student to complete the full CMA course alongside their full-time job
Is a CMA degree equivalent to a BBA degree?
No. CMA is a globally recognized professional certification/qualification offered by ICMAB – a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce. In contrast, BBA is an academic degree offered by public and private universities.
Is a CMA degree equivalent to an ACCA degree?
This is true to some extent in the sense that both are internationally recognized professional accounting certifications/degrees. However, CMAs have expertise in the field of cost and management accounting in addition to financial reporting, taxation, and financial management. In contrast, ACCAs have expertise in the fields of financial accounting and reporting, financial management, tax, and audit.

Difference between ICMAB and ICAB?
ICMAB produces professional cost and management accountants [CMA, having expertise in cost management, financial management, financial reporting, taxation, etc.] whereas ICAB produces chartered accountants [CA, having expertise in auditing, taxation, financial reporting, etc.].However, both are professional accounting organizations administered by the Ministry of Commerce of Govt of Bangladesh.
Difference between ICMAB and ACCA?
ICMAB is a statutory organization constituted by the Government, and administered by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. It produces professional cost and management accountants [CMA, having expertise in cost management, financial management, financial reporting, taxation, etc.]. Whereas, ACCA is a professional accounting organization based in the UK, that produces chartered certified accountants [ACCA, having expertise in auditing, international taxation, financial reporting, etc.].
Difference between ICMAB and ICSB?
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) is the national body of the professional Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh. ICMAB graduates are known as CMA having expertise in cost management, financial management, financial reporting, taxation, etc., and hold the position of CFO, CEO, COO, Head of Accounts and Finance, etc.In contrast, The Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) is the recognized professional body to develop, promote, and regulate the profession of Chartered Secretary in Bangladesh. ICSB graduates are expected to hold the position of company secretary. However, both are professional accounting organizations administered by the Ministry of Commerce of Govt of Bangladesh.
What is the difference between CMA and BBA?
CMA is a professional degree/qualification in the field of cost and management accounting and is highly valued in the accounting and finance field. In contrast, BBA is a bachelor’s degree focusing on a pool of courses in the field of business such as accounting, marketing, management, finance, and so on.
Is there any scholarship or waiver?

How many subjects can be taken in each level?
When you get admission to a particular level, you have to take all the (four to five) courses designated for that level. However, you can appear at the exam for any number of courses you wish. Also, note that you may continue two consecutive levels at a time.
