PRESIDENT
Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA is the Founder of BuildCon Consultancies Limited. Mahtab successfully passed both Honors and Masters in Accounting with distinction. During his job with Unilever and Robi Axiata, he attended many courses including Executive Programs from global reputed University. Currently, he is an alumni of Harvard Business School (AMP 190) and IMB Switzerland. He also attended several courses with INSEAD. Mahtab worked in Large MNCs like Unilever and Axiata across different industries and different countries – Financial, Consumer goods and Telecommunication. Mahtab successfully managed the largest ever merger in Bangladesh in 2016 – Robi Axiata and Airtel (Bharti) and managed the biggest ever Robi IPO in Bangladesh. He was a Board Member of Ncell Axiata – Nepal, was the President of the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) and Vice President of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BMCCI). Mahtab is a distinct corporate leader with a stellar reputation built over a period of three decades. After almost two decades of successfully working with Unilever, he joined the telecom sector and in time became the CEO of Robi, the first in the history of Bangladesh for a local citizen to take the top job of a multinational telecom company. He has also been enjoying a huge following in the social media. He has regular column with The Daily Star on Digital as well as leadership, strategy & economy. |

VICE-PRESIDENT Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCCA(UK), ACA (England & Wales), FCS, FCMA is an elected National Council Member of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh since 2020 and immediate Past Secretary and Present Vice -President of ICMAB. By Profession, Mr. Alam is the Group Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Shun Shing Group International Manufacturing Division, Hong Kong & Dubai. He has about 30 years professional experience in global multinational, British American Tobacco and large business conglomerate Rahaimafrooz (Bangladesh) ltd at the senior finance positions as Head of Manufacturing Finance and Group CFO respectively including eight years as CFO in the current organization. He holds vast knowledge in managing Finance and Accounts functions of large manufacturing, trading, retail and distribution businesses and also NGO finance operations. Further, he worked as Independent Director and Audit Committee Chairman of publicly listed Company, NAVANA CNG Limited and Aftab Automobiles Limited. He is a Fellow of The Institute of Cost and Management Accountant of Bangladesh, a Fellow member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh, a Fellow member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant of United Kingdom and an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has completed his post-graduation from Department of Accounting and Information System, University of Dhaka and MBA from Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka. He is a Vice-President of Bangladesh Accounting Association (BAA). He is one of the founding members of Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh (IPAB) and current Vice-President. He is a General Body Member of FBCCI for three consecutive bi-yearly terms from 2020-25 as a representative from IPAB. He is Finance Director of Gulshan North Club Ltd. He is a member of Standard Setters Working Group (SSWG) of Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Bangladesh. He is an honorary Finance and Governance advisor of a reputed NGO, ARK Foundation, working in health and social development sectors of Bangladesh. Further, He is a life member of Bangladesh AOTS-HIDA, Japan, Bangladesh Japan Training Institute (BJTI) and a Director of BAAS Village Resorts Ltd. He is a part time faculty in ICSB, ICMAB and government and private Universities and contributors in professional Journals. He is a permanent member of Gulshan North Club Limited, Baridhara Cosmopolitan Club limited, IBA Club Limited, Dhaka Boat Club Ltd and Gulshan Runners Club limited. Mr. Alam is a life member of Dhaka University Accounting Alumni Association and IBA alumni association and also a registered Graduate of University of Dhaka. He is a Rotarian with RC Baridhara and past President, Rotary Club of Baridhara Sunrise. In personal Life he is married to Professor Dr Rumana Huque, Department of Economics, University of Dhaka and blessed with a son studying in Economics, in University of Leeds, United Kingdom. He has travelled more than 30 countries on personal and professional endeavor. |

VICE-PRESIDENT
Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary is a fellow cost and management accountant of the ICMAB. He has excellent track record in his entire educational and professional career. He is an ex-Ideal, ex-Notre Damian and ex-CU student. Mr. Patwary has over 30 years’ service experience in Private, Public and MNC in local and international arena. He worked as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the main bourse of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited. Mr. Patwary also worked as the Finance Director of BASF Bangladesh Ltd, a subsidiary of German-based world’s number one multinational chemical company BASF SE, Germany. He also worked as Regional Transition Manager in BASF Asia Pacific Shared Service Centre, Malaysia under delegation policy of BASF. Mr. Patwary started his career as an Assistant Director (Finance and Accounting cadre) with the then Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (DESA) in June 1992. Mr. Patwary has multidisciplinary and multicultural experience with strategic and entrepreneurial twist. He worked in power sector, chemical manufacturing company and capital market in home and abroad. Mr. Patwary also discharged his responsibility as Ex-officio Director, Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited, Promoter Director of Central Counterparty Bangladesh Limited (CCBL), Trustee of Investors’ Protection Fund of Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited and Governing Body Member of Bangladesh Academy for Securities Market (BASM).
