Partnership with Jagannath University
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and the Department of Accounting and Information Systems of Jagannath University (JnU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, 19 October 2023 at the JnU Vice Chancellor’s Conference Room. Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCS, FCCA, ACA (ICAEW), FCMA, Secretary of ICMAB, and Prof. Dr. Kamaluddin Ahmed, Treasurer of JnU, signed the MoU on behalf of the respective institutes. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zakaria Masud FCMA, Director, Academic Affairs Division of ICMAB, Ms. Monowara Begum FCMA, Deputy Director and Head of Education Department of ICMAB, Deans of the Faculties, JnU, Professor Mohammad Shofiqul Islam, Chairman, Department of Accounting & Information Systems of JnU, and faculty members of the university witness the signing ceremony. Under this agreement, JnU students/graduates could avail of ICMAB course exemption benefits and admission scholarships in pursuing the CMA program. Similarly, these partnering institutions agreed to work together in areas within the core business area of both institutions. The Treasurer of JnU expressed his appreciation to ICMAB and requested the faculty members to keep the partnership alive with innovative activities. ICMAB Secretary thanked the JnU authority for establishing the partnership on their Foundation Day. He opined that this partnership indicates both institutions’ commitment to excellence, innovation, and the advancement of the accounting profession. All the participants highly appreciated the initiative and agreed to work together to fulfill the MoU’s objectives.

ICMAB COURSE WAIVER FOR JnU BBA GRADUATES
JnU BBA graduates shall enjoy the waiver facility for pursing CMA program from ICMAB fulfilling the requirements of Table 1. Moreover, students aspire to pursue CMA program simultaneously with JnU BBA program, shall enjoy waiver of the listed ICMAB subjects (under ‘subject to subject’ waiver of table 1) if they have completed the corresponding subject(s) from JnU with minimum average GPA of 3.00 in a 4-point scale.

ICMAB ADMISSION SCHOLARSHIP FOR JnU GRADUATES
JnU BBA/MBA graduates shall enjoy the admission scholarship facility for pursing ICMAB courses. The scholarship covers the ICMAB admission cost (i.e., Tk. 28,500) as stated in Table 2.
