Seminar: “Grow with Professional Management Accounting Education- Implication to Business Graduates”.
A team from ICMAB headed by Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury, FCMA, Vice President joined in a seminar titled “Grow with Professional Management Accounting Education: Implication to Business Graduates” organized by Faculty of Business & Economics, Daffodil International University on April 9, 2015 at Daffodil International University Auditorium, Dhaka. Around 400 students attended the program.
Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as Chief Guest while Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury, FCMA, Vice President, ICMAB, Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, FCMA, Secretary, ICMAB, Mr. Nikhil Chandra Shil, FCMA, Consultant Academic Affairs ICMAB were present as Special Guests in the seminar.
Mr. Nikhil Chandra Shil, FCMA made a presentation on Management Accounting Education and Profession in Bangladesh. Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury, FCMA appraised the role of ICMAB in imparting professional management accounting education in parallel with formal academic programs offered by different universities. He also answered various questions of students. Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan, FCMA, Secretary, ICMAB also spoke on various issues specially ethics of professional accountants.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Lutfar Rahman in his speech put emphasis on the need for ethical practice in business. He appreciated ICMAB for including ethics in its’ curriculum. Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business & Economics (FBE) appaluded ICMAB’s role in rendering professional education in the country.He thanked the Vice President and ICMAB Council for selecting Daffodil International University as the platform of such professional discussion.
Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Business Administration, Daffodil International University nicely conducted the seminar. The program ended with a Q & A session.
