Proposed Amendments to the Income Tax Act 2023″ Seminar Held

A seminar on “Proposed Amendments to the Income Tax Act 2023” was organized by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh under the initiative of the BCS (Tax) Academy. The seminar took place on March 17, 2025 at the Conference Room (Brainstorm, 1st Floor) of the BCS (Tax) Academy.

Ms. Rownak Afroze, Director General, BCS (Tax) Academy remained present as the Chief Guest.

A delegation of 30 nominated representatives from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) actively participated in the seminar. The Main Article was presented by Commissioner Taxes Zone -6, Mr. Iqtiaruddin Md. Mamun FCMA. Mr. Md. Saifur Rahman FCMA, Mr. Md. Mohiman FCMA and Mr. Md. Hafiz Al Asad, Director BCS (Tax) Academy took part as discussants. Discussions focused on the proposed amendments to the Income Tax Act 2023, analyzing their potential impact on taxpayers, businesses, and the overall tax administration system.
