Open discussion on professional matters

An open discussion on professional matters was held at ICMAB on March 21, 2015. President of the Institute Mr. A S M Shaykhul Islam FCMA presided over the program. Vice President Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury FCMA, Secretary Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Swapan Kumar Bala FCMA, Past Presidents and Council members of the Institute attended the program.

A large number of Fellow and Associate members of the Institute attended the program. They shared their views and opinions on different professional matters and ongoing development initiatives of the Institute. Some important suggestions affecting the future direction of the profession also came out from the open discussion session.

President, in his speech, expressed thanks to the members for their active participation in the discussion session. He assured that all relevant opinions and suggestions shall be duly considered in devising and implementing the activity plan for the year 2015. He said the Council has its strategic goals to be achieved over short to medium term; some important progress has been achieved in the immediate past year towards that direction. The activity plan for 2015 shall be revisited if required with due consideration of the opinions and suggestions expressed in the meeting. The program concluded with a fellowship dinner participated by the members.
