ICMAB signed a Memorandum of Agreement with UIU
The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) and the United International University (UIU) are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) that paves the way for an innovative partnership aimed at accelerating the path to obtaining degrees in accounting and finance. This collaboration promises to benefit students, professionals, and the accounting industry.
Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, President of ICMAB, and Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor of UIU, signed the MoA on 2 October 2023 at the ICMAB Council Room on behalf of their respective institutions. ICMAB council members and officials, UIU Program directors, Coordinators, and faculty members witness the signing ceremony. Under this agreement, UIU students/graduates could avail of ICMAB course exemption benefits and admission scholarships in pursuing the CMA program. Similarly, UIU offers ICMAB students and members an accelerated route to complete BBA and MBA degrees. Furthermore, these partnering institutions agreed to work together for curriculum enhancement, collaborative research, and exploring other opportunities within the core business area of both institutions.
ICMAB President expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Our mission is to empower individuals to excel in the accounting and finance profession, and this partnership with UIU represents a significant step toward achieving that goal. By combining our expertise and resources, we can create a pathway for students and professionals to thrive in the accounting and finance industry.” The Vice Chancellor of UIU also expressed his excitement about the collaboration with ICMAB, stating, “This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing students with a world-class education closely linked with the contemporary needs of the market. By working together, we can offer a unique educational experience that combines academic excellence with practical skills.” Representatives from both institutions emphasized that this partnership exemplifies both institutions’ commitment to excellence, innovation, and the advancement of the accounting profession. They have agreed to extend full support to one another in making the partnership fruitful.
