ICMAB Inducts Future Leaders of the CMA Profession

The Young Leadership Development Committee (YLDC) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) successfully organized a Professional Induction Program for the newly qualified CMAs of the May 2024 and September 2024 examination sessions. The event was held on Saturday, 08 February 2025, at Six Seasons Hotel, Gulshan, Dhaka, with the objective of providing an orientation to new members on their professional responsibilities and the values upheld by the CMA community.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Jamal Ahmed Choudhury FCMA, Past President of ICMAB and Chairman of the YLDC, who emphasized the significance of leadership and ethical practice in the profession. The event was formally inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA, Vice President of ICMAB, who encouraged the newly inducted CMAs to uphold the highest standards of professionalism as they embark on their careers.

The induction program featured two highly engaging and thought-provoking sessions. Prof. Dr. Nikhil Chandra Shil FCMA delivered an insightful presentation on Professional Ethics and Code of Conduct, highlighting the core principles that guide the CMA profession. This was followed by Ms. Akhtar Sanjida Kasem FCA, FCMA, who conducted a dynamic session on Professional Etiquette, offering practical guidance on effective communication and professional behavior in diverse settings.

The event was further graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Syed Abdulla Al Mamun FCMA, Council Member of ICMAB; Mr. Naba Krishna Muni FCMA, Member of the YLDC; and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Zakaria Masud FCMA, Advisor of Academic Affairs at ICMAB, whose participation added great value to the proceedings.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, President of ICMAB, congratulated the newly qualified professionals and presented them with certificates, urging them to contribute actively to the advancement of the profession.

The seamless coordination of the program by Mr. Anik Kumar Kundu ACMA, along with the enthusiastic engagement of the participants, ensured the event’s resounding success. The induction program concluded on a high note with a fellowship dinner, fostering meaningful connections and a spirit of camaraderie among the new members of the ICMAB family.
