ICMAB holds Training on “Mastering Pharma Costing: Navigating BCAS & Cost Audit”

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) arranged Training on “Mastering Pharma Costing: Navigating BCAS & Cost Audit” on Friday, 25^th October 2024 from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM at ICMAB Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, ICMA Bhaban, 3 Nilkhet, Dhaka-1205. Mr. Shish Haider Chowdhury, NDC, MCIPS (CS), Secretary, ICT Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology was present as Chief Guest. Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, Chairman, Training Committee, ICMAB, Mr. Mohammed Salim FCMA, Chairman, Cost Audit & Professional Consultancy Committee, ICMAB were present at the program. The Institute is committed to equip and enrich its members and students in his presidential speech by Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, President, ICMAB.

The day-long program was conducted through three sessions where Mr. Md. Zahangir Alam FCMA presented on “Introduction and determinants of cause & effect-based recording system’’ and Mr. A.K.M. Qamruzzaman FCMA presented on “Value chain and regulations & compliances” at the inauguration session.

“Value chain of pharma industry” was presented by Mr. Zillur Rahman FCMA and “Enterprise structure, nano market strategy, activity-based business plan, responsibility accounting system” was presented by Mr. Md. Zahangir Alam FCMA in the 1^st session.

“Accounting system, costing method, method of standard cost, overhead allocation methods, activity-based costing” was conducted by Mr. A.K.M. Qamruzzaman FCMA, “Principle of recording and reporting system” by Mr. Zillur Rahman FCMA and “Recording and reporting system in practice- a case study” by Mr. Md. Zahangir Alam, FCMA, and “highlighting of relevant BCAS and importance of proper consumption of costs considering cause and effect-based approach” by Mr. Zillur Rahman, FCMA were presented at concluding session. Concluding remarks and Certificate Distribution among the participants & handover token gift to the Resource persons was conducted by Mr. Mohammed Jahangir Alam FCMA, Councilor, National Council, ICMAB. A large number of Fellow and Associate Members and students were present the training program.
