ICMAB has organized a Career Counseling Seminar on “Professional Management Accounting Education in Bangladesh: Implications for Business Graduates” at East West University of Bangladesh
A career counseling seminar titled “Professional Management Accounting Education in Bangladesh: Implications for Business Graduates” was held on December 19, 2024, at East West University, Dhaka. Organized as part of the promotional activities of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), the event featured a welcome address by Dr. Nikhil Chandra Shil FCMA, Professor in the Department of Business Administration at EWU. Dr. Shil inspired students to pursue a career as professional cost and management accountants, encouraging them to take pride in contributing to the profession in Bangladesh.
Mr. Abdul Matin Patwary FCMA, Treasurer of ICMAB, addressed the seminar as a Guest of Honor. He emphasized the importance of obtaining the CMA qualification, which equips graduates with market-driven skills, setting them apart in the job market. Highlighting the extensive career opportunities available to qualified CMAs both locally and internationally, he encouraged students to begin the CMA program alongside their current academic pursuits to accelerate their career growth.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Zakaria Masud FCMA, Advisor of ICMAB, participated in the seminar as the Resource Person. In his speech, Dr. Masud elaborated on various aspects of the CMA profession, focusing on the advantages of earning a CMA degree and how it helps professionals attain leadership positions within organizational hierarchies.
Faculty members from various departments of EWU and over 100 students from the Faculty of Business Administration actively participated in the program. The attendees engaged enthusiastically, raising numerous questions to gain a deeper understanding of the CMA program.
