Embracing Our Legacy – A Joyful Day Together

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) successfully hosted a heartwarming and memorable event titled “Embracing Our Legacy – A Joyful Day Together” on Friday, 28 February 2025, at the CCULB Resort & Convention Hall, Purbachal. The event was designed to honor and celebrate the esteemed senior members of ICMAB who are aged 65 and above, offering them a day of joy, reflection, and camaraderie.

This special program was organized with the support of the ICMAB National Council and aimed to provide a refreshing and engaging experience for the senior members. Throughout the day, various activities were arranged, including: Light Physical Exercises: Promoting health and well-being among senior members; Recreational Games: Adding an element of fun and relaxation; Storytelling & Memory Sharing: A heartfelt session for members to share their professional journeys and cherished experiences; Networking & Socializing: Strengthening friendships and professional connections.
The event created a festive atmosphere as the senior members gathered, reconnecting with old friends and colleagues. The program was deeply appreciated by attendees, who expressed their gratitude for the initiative and the opportunity to relive memories.
The event was organized by the Committee on Veterans Affairs and Engagement, under the leadership of Chairman Mr. Md. Belayet Hossain FCMA.

The current President, Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, graced the occasion as the Special Guest, alongside five Ex-Presidents of ICMAB: Mr. Mohammed Mohiuddin FCMA (1995), Mr. Md.  Ruhul Amin FCMA (2005), Prof. Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed FCMA (2007 & 2012), Mr. Mohammed Salim FCMA (2014 & 2018), and Mr. Arif Khan FCMA (2016).
ICMAB remains committed to recognizing the invaluable contributions of its senior members and ensuring that their legacy continues to inspire future generations of professionals. This event marked the beginning of a new tradition of celebrating and engaging with veteran members in meaningful ways.
