DBC Webinar on Internal Credit Risk Rating Systems (ICRRS) for Banks: A Technique to assess borrowers (Bank Finance Module-5)

Greeting from Dhaka Branch Council, ICMAB!!!

As per BRPD Circular No. 12 dated June 20, 2019 of Bangladesh Bank, ¬¬all credit proposals whether New, Renewal or Enhancement shall be gone through the Internal Credit Risk Rating (ICRR) process under the Guidelines on Internal Credit Risk Rating System (ICRRS) and the Banks are not entitled to entertain any borrower whose Rating is below standard. The ICRRS replaced the existing CRG (Credit Risk Grading). Internal Credit Risk Rating System comprises 20 (twenty) different rating templates for 20 (twenty) industries/sectors instead of just one template for all the sectors like previous CRG model. Different yardsticks have been used for assessing the borrowers of corresponding sectors. So, the Finance Officials who are working in corporate sectors and the bankers must have adequate knowledge on ICRRS.

In this respect, DBC would like to share above knowledge to our members which might help them for proper planning and documentation while borrowing fund from bank. Therefore, Dhaka Branch Council (DBC) is going to organize a Webinar on “Internal Credit Risk Rating Systems (ICRRS): A Technique to assess borrowers” to be held on June 05, 2021 (Saturday) @ 7.30p.m virtually through Zoom.
