Conceptual Framework & IFRS practices in Bangladesh and Global Context

The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) arranged a Discussion session on “Conceptual Framework & IFRS practices in Bangladesh and Global Context” and “Financial Reporting in the light of COVID” on February 24, 2021 at ICMAB’s Ruhul Quddus Auditorium, Nilkhet, Dhaka.

Prof. Dr. Md. Hamid Ullah Bhuiyan, Chairman, Financial Reporting Council (FRC), Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest and Mr. Mr. A. K. M. Delwer Hussain FCMA, President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) was present as the Special Guest.

ICMAB President Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin Akand FCMA presided over the Discussion session. Mr. Md. Shafiqul Alam FCMA, Principal & CEO, Shafiqul Alam & Co., Chartered Accountants, Sponsor Director, Bizz Solutions Ltd. and Mr. Fahmid Wasik Ali FCMA, Finance Director and Company Secretary, Novartis (Bangladesh) Ltd. presented the paper. A large number of members participated the Discussion session physicaly and through webinar.

Mr. A.K.M. Kamruzzaman FCMA, Council Member, ICMAB moderated the entire program connecting the audience and discussants and also gave his analysis regarding the occasion. Mr. Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA, Vice-Pesident, ICMAB gave the vote of thanks to the participants and audience of the program.
