Chattogram Branch Council organized “Students’ Orientation Program”

The Chattogram Branch Council (CBC) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) organized a colorful orientation program for the newly admitted Chattogram-based students of the January-June, 2023 session on March 17, 2023 at CMA Bhaban, Chattogram.

Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, President, ICMAB attended the program as the Chief Guest while Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCA, FCMA, Vice President, ICMAB, Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCS, FCCA, FCA (ICAEW), FCMA Secretary, ICMAB, and Mr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman FCMA, Treasurer, ICMAB attended the program as the special guests. Mr. Mohammed Mozammel Hossain FCMA, Chairman, CBC, presided over the program and offered welcome speech to the newly admitted students. 

Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA congratulated the newly admitted students and assured them all sort of supports to this journey of becoming professional cost and management accountants. He expected that the members, officials and students of Chattogram Branch would play an imperative role in the development of CMA profession. He also wished more and more prosperity for the Chattogram Branch. Dr. Md. Salim Uddin, FCA, FCMA motivated the newly admitted students and discussed several tactics on how to become a professional accountant within a short period of time. Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA discussed the importance of learning English, IT, and other relevant skills to enhance the capability of aspiring CMAs. Mr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman FCMA emphasized the importance of professional certification specifically CMA to ensure a prestigious position at the workplaces. Mr. Mohammed Mohiuddin FCMA, Mr. Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA, Mr. M. Solaiman FCMA and Mr. Golam Kibria FCMA shared their practical experiences in this regard. The program was nicely conducted by Mr. Wahid Ullah, FCMA, Secretary, CBC and the vote of thanks were offered by Mr. Pradip Paul FCA, FCMA, Vice-Chairman, CBC.
