CBC, ICMAB Hosts Fresher’s Orientation Program for the January-June 2025 Session
The Chattogram Branch Council (CBC) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) hosted a dynamic and engaging orientation program for the newly admitted students of the January–June 2025 session on March 19, 2025, at the CMA Bhaban auditorium in Agrabad, Chattogram.
Mr. Mohammad Anisuzzaman FCA, FCMA, Chairman of the Chattogram Branch Council, presided over the program and delivered an inspiring welcome speech. Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, President of ICMAB, attended as the “Chief Guest,” while ICMAB Vice-President Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA was present as the “Special Guest.”
ICMAB President Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA delivered an insightful address, encouraging students to strive for excellence in their journey to becoming professional accountants. He highlighted the significance of knowledge based on soft skills and advanced information technology and expertise in today’s globalized world, motivating students to embrace continuous learning and ethical practices.
ICMAB Vice-President Mr. Md. Kausar Alam FCMA delivered inspiring speeches, emphasizing the importance of dedication, perseverance, and professional integrity in shaping successful careers.
To kick off the program, Mr. Md. Towhidul Islam Rahat ACMA, ACCA, ACS, Council member, CBC, delivered an engaging presentation on the ICMAB course curriculum and shared effective study techniques. Mr. Nazmul Islam ACMA, Secretary of CBC, skillfully moderated the entire program, while Mr. Wahid Ullah FCMA, Vice Chairman of CBC, gave a heartfelt vote of thanks to close the event.
The orientation program was marked by an enthusiastic exchange of ideas, with students actively participating and seeking guidance from the speakers. The event concluded with a group photo session, capturing the spirit of camaraderie and excitement, followed by a special Iftar gathering that fostered a sense of community among attendees.
