CBC, ICMAB organized Students’ Orientation Program and reception to the newly qualified CMAs

Chattogram Branch Council (CBC) of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has organized a colorful orientation program for the newly admitted students of the July-December, 2022 session and reception to newly qualified CMAs of Chattogram Branch on Friday, September 16, 2022, at CMA Bhaban Auditorium, CDA R/A, Agrabad, Chattogram.

Mr. Asadur Rahaman FCMA, the Chairman of Chattogram Branch Council of ICMAB, inaugurated the program and welcomed all newly admitted students, all national council members, and new qualified CMAs. Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA, Honorable President of ICMA Bangladesh, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Also, Mr. Md. Munirul Islam FCMA and Mr. Imtiaz Alam FCA, FCMA, Vice Presidents of ICMAB, Mr. A. K. M. Kamruzzaman FCMA, Secretary of ICMAB, and Mr. Md. Ali Haider Chowdhury FCMA, Treasurer of ICMA Bangladesh attended in the program as Special Guests. Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA welcomed all newly admitted students and congratulated newly qualified CMAs. “In the era of 4IR, to cop up with this modern world, to strengthen the modern communication systems, to maintain the accuracy of Accounting and Management systems, and to achieve SDG 2030 goals and vision 2041, the country needs more and more professional accountants, especially CMAs”, he said. After the end of the speech, Mr. President offered to all new students and CMAs gift packs and flowers. Mr. Md. Munirul Islam FCMA and Mr. Imtiaz Alam FCA, FCMA delivered a motivational speech to the newly admitted students of the Chattogrm Branch. They described how they planned and worked hard for qualifying CMA degree within a short time and due to increasing the demand for Professional Accountants in the national and multinational group of companies, he encouraged all students to become world-class CMA. Among others, Mr. A.K.M. Kamruzzaman FCMA, Mr. Md. Ali Haider Chowdhury FCMA, and all National Council members along with Govt. nominated council members also spoke on the occasion. Also, some senior Fellow members shared their practical experience in this regard. After the above programs, a professional discussion was held presided by the President Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA of ICMAB was inaugurated at the same place. In this program, the ongoing scope and challenges of CMA professions in the various sectors both home and abroad were discussed, and how they could play an important role in their workplace in this regard. A large number of senior Fellow & Associate members of ICMAB, newly qualified CMAs, and newly admitted and senior students of Chattogram Branch also attended the program. The whole program was nicely conducted by Mr. Wahid Ullah FCMA, Treasurer, CBC, and the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Mohammed Mozammel Hossain FCMA, Vice-Chairman, CBC.
